Call for applications: Erasmus+ mobility for study at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, University of Cologne, Federal Republic of Germany

Participation in the exchange program within the framework of the Erasmus+KA171 programme University of Cologne, Federal Republic of Germany

Mobility opportunity for the 2nd and 3rd years Bachelor students and 1st year Master Students and PhD students of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

The Faculty of Humanities of the University of Cologne invites students to study as part of a student exchange programme during the autumn semester of the academic year 2025/2026 (semester duration: October 1 to March 31).

Eligible majors: Social Sciences and Philology

The required documents for participation are to be submitted in English and the individual schedule in Ukrainian):

  1. CV in EUROPASS format
  2. Motivation letter (1 – 2 pages), which should explain:
  • Why do you want to participate in the Erasmus+ programme and attend Cologne University?
  • How will the studying at Cologne University help you achieve your life goals?
  • What knowledge do you expect to gain and what skills to acquire?
  • Why would you be a worthy representative from KNU to participate in the exchange?
  1. Certificate of proficiency in English not lower than B2 level and in German not lower than B1 level.

Certificate of language proficiency from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv is acceptable as well (link for downloading Certificate template).

Please note that most courses are taught in German. Lack of German language skills may create difficulties if students need to complete a certain curriculum or obtain a fixed number of credits.

  1. For Bachelor students: photo or scan of the Transcript of Records in English.

For Master students: scan of Bachelor’s diploma with supplement.

  1. Learning Agreement (Tables A and B) signed by the head of the department or the academic coordinator. (link for downloading Learning Agreement template)
  2. Individual schedule (link for downloading Individual schedule template). Individual schedule has to be signed by the head of the department or the Faculty/Institute mobility coordinator.
