Key area: a dedicated window for Ukraine within the Erasmus+ programme. Capacity building in higher education, third strand.
Priority: to support comprehensive, effective, inclusive and gender-sensitive digital skills development through educational and research programmes, thereby bridging the digital divide.
National priority: to develop a highly effective digital education ecosystem by building the capacity of participating universities and enhancing a critical understanding of how to utilise the opportunities offered by digital technologies for teaching and learning at all levels and across all sectors, particularly in times of war.
Project duration: 1 December 2023 – 30 November 2027 / 1 January 2024 – 30 December 2027.
Project objective: to create a unified digital educational ecosystem in Ukraine that will ensure continuous, high-quality, inclusive and transparent education, independent of participants’ location, utilising existing digital innovations in the education sector and a clear framework for integrating future innovations.
Project objectives:
- to develop a concept, strategy and action plan for creating a unified digital educational ecosystem in Ukraine, and to secure its official approval;
- to create a nationwide digital educational environment – DigiPlatform;
- to develop the open DigiUni Charter;
- to develop rules for ensuring and improving the quality of digital content and digital educational programmes at higher education institutions in Ukraine, as well as methodologies for assessing the quality of digital content, and guidelines for the creation of digital content and digital academic disciplines;
- establishing a DigiCentre at each Ukrainian higher education institution partnering in the project, equipped with the necessary software and hardware;
- developing the initial content for DigiPlatform;
- developing 100+ new digital courses across various fields of knowledge;
- training 600 educators as digital content developers; ensuring that 5,000+ students at Ukrainian partner universities commence their studies on the new courses; providing 1,000+ representatives of other target groups with training modules using the DigiPlatform as part of the DigiUni pilot project.
