

The Alliance between the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) was formed on July 14, 2022, when the cooperation agreement was solemnly signed.

FAU Scholarship by the Dietrich and Elke Möller Foundation
The FAU Scholarship by the Dietrich and Elke Möller Foundation supports students and PhD candidates from Ukraine for a period of 12 months. During the funding period from October 2025 to September 2026, four successful applicants will each receive a monthly scholarship of 625 €. The scholarship is open to applicants from all disciplines. Studying electrical engineering or law is an asset.

Exhibition “Students at war – Unissued Diplomas” at FAU
From November 13 to December 4, 2024, Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg hosts the moving exhibition “Students at War – Unissued Diplomas” at the university’s main library (Schuhstraße 1a, 91052 Erlangen). This exhibition, part of the international Unissued Diplomas initiative, commemorates the Ukrainian students who lost their lives during the ongoing war in Ukraine and will never have the chance to graduate.

This session offers unique perspectives on how civil society contributes to resilience, recovery, and the democratic development.

Building Bridges Through Education: A Week of Learning at KNU-FAU Summer School 2024

Educational Solidarity in Action: FAU Hosts Temporary Exam Centres for Displaced Ukrainian School Leavers and Students 
In a continued effort to support Ukraine, and in particular the Ukrainian higher education system, the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg has organised the operation of temporary examination centres for Ukrainian school leavers and students who have been forced to flee their homes due to Russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine. This campaign, launched at the request of the Ukrainian side, is an important expression of solidarity in these difficult times.
