The competition for the scholarship to study at Polish University on the summer semester of the 2025-2026 academic year
GFPS-Polska is holding a call for scholarships for persons with Ukrainian citizenship who have student status in Ukraine or Poland.
GFPS-Polska is a student organization founded in 1994. Its goal is to support science, cooperation, and student and scientific exchange between Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine. The organization receives funds for events and scholarships from the Foundation for Polish-German Cooperation (FWPN) and the Polish-German Youth Cooperation (PNWM).
This scholarship program offers:
- a monthly scholarship of PLN 2,500;
- the opportunity to study for a semester at one of the universities in Poland of your choice and support during the admission campaign;
- constant support from an active local GFPS group;
- free participation in two scientific and cultural seminars (at the beginning and end of the semester).
Who can apply for the competitive selection?
First of all, students who:
- to have Ukrainian citizenship;
- during the selection period and stay in Poland are students or doctoral students of one of the Ukrainian or Polish universities and whose age is no more than 26 (if students) and 30 (if doctoral students) years;
- to have a certificate certifying the level of knowledge of the Polish language;
- are not indifferent to civil society and are interested in the European idea.
This scholarship is aimed, first of all, at students who are distinguished by high academic achievements, special interests, a promising scientific project idea and research enthusiasm. Candidates are expected to have good oral and written Polish language skills, which will enable free communication and readiness to actively participate in academic, cultural and social life during their stay in Poland. Participants involved in the public sector (participation in public initiatives and activities in non-governmental institutions) and with high academic achievements (participation in conferences and academic circles) are especially welcome.

When applying for a scholarship from:
- candidates from Ukrainian higher education institutions are required to indicate in the application form 3 university cities in which they would like to study, as the organizers will take into account the preferences of the scholarship holders. Although not all wishes can be fulfilled. This, of course, depends on the activity of the local GFPS group and the possibility of cooperation with the university;
- candidates from Polish universities are required to indicate in the application form the university at which the person is already studying.
The deadline for submitting documents for a scholarship to a Polish university is October 26, 2025.
