Call for Applications: Students Majoring in Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Cologne (Federal Republic of Germany)

Mobility opportunity for the 2nd and 3rd years Bachelor students, 1st year Master Students and PhD students of Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
Erasmus+ credit mobility scholarship to study during the autumn semester of the 2025/20256 academic year at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of the University of Cologne, Federal Republic of Germany (lectures are given from 7 October 2025 to 31 January 2026, examination is up to 28 February 2026).
Application deadline: 31 March 2025
Eligible majors: Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Geography, Physics, Mathematics, Information and Communication Technologies
Please, consider that for Bachelor students the main teaching language is German with some English-language disciplines available. For Master students there are courses available in English. Please check the language of the courses on the University website.
List of documents to be submitted in English (Individual Schedule in Ukrainian):
- CV in EUROPASS format;
- Motivation letter (up to 1 page) which should explain:
- Why do you want to participate in the Erasmus+ programme?
- How will study at the University of Cologne help you achieve your life goals?
- What knowledge do you expect to gain and what skills to acquire?
- Why would you be a worthy representative from KNU to participate in the exchange?
- Certificate of proficiency in English and/or German (not lower than B1 level). Certificate of language proficiency from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv is acceptable as well.

- Learning Agreement(Tables A and B) signed by the head of the department or the academic coordinator. (link for downloading Learning Agreement template
- Individual schedule indicating the approximate dates of the examination upon returning to Home university (link for downloading Individual schedule template). Individual schedule has to be signed by the head of the department or the Faculty/Institute mobility coordinator.
Minimal amount of ECTS – 15.
- For Bachelor students: scan of the Transcript of Records
For Master students: scan of Bachelor’s diploma with supplement.
For PhD students: scan of Master’s diploma with supplement.
- Copy of the 1st page of international passport.
