The international seminar “Transforming Institutions and Societies: Accounts for Sustainable Future” at the NORD University (Bodo, Norway)

At the NORD University (Bodo, Norway) on February 12, 2024, representatives of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv from the Faculty of Economics: Professor I. Liutyi, Deputy Dean for Education of the Faculty of Economics, Associate Professors O. Liubkina and A. Mahomedova and Professor of the Faculty of Computer Science and Cybernetics V. Zaslavskyi participated in the international seminar “Transforming Institutions and Societies: Accounts for Sustainable Future.”

The international seminar was dedicated to the role of scientific research and its impact on social development and economic stability, the importance of developing international cooperation and the participation of universities in international interdisciplinary projects, business support and social development, as well as the analysis of social and political results and prospects of cooperation between Taras Shevchenko KNU and the Business School of NORD University.

KNU representatives and participants of joint education projects studying and working at the NORD University congratulated Professor Frode Mellemvik, Director of the Business School of NORD University on his 70th anniversary. Our colleagues presented him with the Acknowledgment of the Rector of Taras Shevchenko KNU and souvenirs with symbols of our University and personal gifts.

From February 12 to 15, there were meetings with representatives of the Business Schoolcooperating with our University for the past 15 years with the aim of developing mobility and preparing international projects. The meeting with Professor Anatolii Burmistrov was devoted to the issues of initiating and preparing new educational and scientific projects and further development of international cooperation between universities. Professor V. Zaslavskyi and the Dean of the Business School, Professor Gry Agnette Alsos discussed cooperation in the field of innovation and the possibility of preparing a joint educational project.

On February 14, the participants of the seminar were present at the public defence of the PhD thesis by Valeriia Melnyk, a PhD student of the Faculty of Economics of Taras Shevchenko KNU. After the announcement of the positive result of the thesis defence, Valeriia Melnyk was congratulated by colleagues and guests of the NORD University.
