Youth, Well-Being and Covid-19 Pandemics – Lessons for the Future from the EUniWell Policy Commission

We invite teachers and students of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv to the open lecture “Youth, Well-Being and Covid-19 Pandemics – Lessons for the Future from the EUniWell Policy Commission” taking place on October 17, 2023, at 16:00 (CET) / 17:00 (Kyiv), one form the series of open lectures by the EUniWell Alliance.

On the lecture:

This lecture will summarize the results of the first meeting by the EUniWell Policy Commission, led by the University of Birmingham on behalf of the EUniWell Alliance. The Commission worked from June 2020 to February 2023 and investigated the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on youth (15-24 years) across the Europe. The final report is based on the results of academic research, institutional practices and communication with young people from the EUniWell partner universities.

The lecture highlights purposes of the Policy Commission and key findings of the evidence review on the uneven impact of the pandemic on education, employment and mental health of different groups of young people. The implications of these findings will be examined in a post-pandemic context of uncertainty across the Europe, and the Policy Commission’s report will highlight policy lessons that will also address the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 crisis on youth well-being.
