Mitacs Globalink Research Internship (GRI) 2027

Mobility opportunity for the 3rd and 4th year Bachelor students of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv!

 

We would like to inform you that applications for student participation in the Mitacs Globalink Research Internship 2027 have begun.

 

Mitacs Globalink Research Internship is a competitive initiative for international undergraduates from the following countries and regions: Austria, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Jordan, Mexico, Pakistan, Peru, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Tunisia, Ukraine, United Kingdom and the United States. From May to October of each year, top-ranked applicants participate in a 12-week research internship under the supervision of Canadian academic institution faculty members in a variety of academic disciplines, from science, engineering, and mathematics to the humanities and social sciences.

The Globalink research internship award amount includes: 

  • Funding to contribute to the cost of a round-trip airfare to Canada (amount varies depending on country of origin)
  • Funding to contribute to the cost of transportation from the airport in Canada to accommodation
  • Stipend for housing (amount varies depending on country of origin)
  • Stipend towards student enrollment fees (amount varies depending on host institution)
  • Stipend for food and incidentals (amount varies depending on country of origin)
  • Emergency health insurance policy for the duration of the internship
  • Support from student mentors on campus in Canada
  • Access to industry events and professional development courses

 

To be eligible:

You must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age at the time of application
  • Be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or combined undergraduate/master’s program at an eligible institution in one of the eligible countries or regions as per the website.
  • Have one to three semesters remaining in your program as of fall 2027 (see requirement by country)
  • Meet the grade requirements for your country of study
  • Be fluent in the oral and written language of the project (English and/or French)
  • Be available to complete an internship in Canada lasting 12 consecutive weeks between May 1 and October 31
  • Not have been awarded a Globalink Research Internship project in the past.

 

To participate in the program, students must:

Fill out the form: https://globalink.mitacs.ca/#/student/application/welcome  and attach the necessary documents:

  • CV with a description of scientific interests (the template of which can be found on the Program website);
  • a letter of recommendation from a university teacher (written on university letterhead and signed by the teacher);
  • a transcript of grades from the university (with an average score for all years of study).

All documents must be in English or French.

A certificate of proficiency in English or French is not required.
