SELECTION FOR STUDY UNDER THE EXCHANGE PROGRAM WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE BILATERAL COOPERATION WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF EDINBURGH, UNITED KINGDOM

Mobility opportunity for the 2nd, 3rd year Bachelor students, the 1st year Master students of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv!

We invite applications for the selection process for studying during the spring semester of the 2025/2026 academic year at the University of Edinburgh.

The bilateral cooperation program does not offer a scholarship. However, students have the opportunity to study for free provided they meet the program requirements.

All other expenses such as accommodation, transportation, meals, and medical insurance are to be covered by the students.
Please consider this information when planning your participation in the mobility program.

Accommodation fee: Approximately 2080 GBP per semester.

This opportunity is available for 2nd and 3rd-year undergraduate students in the following fields:

  • Social and Political Sciences
  • English Literature
  • Chemistry
    The offer is also available to master’s students in Chemistry.

To participate in the selection, please prepare the following documents in English:

1. CV in Europass format.

2. Motivational letter (up to 1 page), which should answer the following questions:

  • Why do you wish to participate in the exchange and study at the University of Edinburgh?
  • How will studying at the partner university influence your life goals?
  • What knowledge and skills do you expect to gain?
  • Why would you be a worthy representative of our university for this exchange program?3

3. Language proficiency certificate:

    1. IELTS (Academic module) – overall 6.5 with no less than 5.5 in each component
    2. TOEFL iBT (including Special Home Edition) – 92 or above with 20 in each section
    3. Trinity ISE – ISE II (distinction in all components) / ISE III
    4. Cambridge CAE/CPE – 176 overall (162 per component), grade A-C

4. For undergraduate students: transcript in English.
For master’s students: scanned copy of the bachelor’s diploma with the supplement.

5. Individual study plan in Ukrainian.
The form of the individual study plan can be downloaded from the academic mobility department website: Individual Study Plan with the indicative dates for session completion after returning and with approval by the department head or mobility coordinator at the faculty/institute. Please note that the minimum number of credits for re-enrollment is 15 ECTS.
