Call for Mexican Government Excellence Scholarships for Foreigners, recently announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico through the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID).
The aim of the programme is to promote the development of highly qualified specialists by providing scholarships for full-time study programmes.
The Call is aimed at foreign students wishing to pursue studies in Mexico at the undergraduate and master’s levels (mobility programs of up to 12 months), full master’s degrees (up to 24 months), and research stays (from 3 to 12 months).
Call schedule:
- call for applications: 21 July 2025
- registration of applications at SIGCA: 21 July – 12 September 2025
- results of the call for applications: 8–13 October 2025
Please note the following requirements for participation in the call:
- Submit an electronic application in Spanish through the Academic Cooperation Management System (SIGCA) during the call period;
*The SIGCA portal will be open for applications from 6 p.m. on 21 July to 3 p.m. on 12 September 2025, Mexico Central Time.
- enclose all academic documents corresponding to the type of study or research to be undertaken;
- a CV, completed using a text editor and signed by the candidate.
Expenses concerning the Mexican visa application, international airfare, and transportation costs will be covered by the AMEXCID Academic Exchange Office and will be announced to the selected candidates prior to the scholarship application.
