The Baltic University Programme (BUP) is pleased to announce the call for applications for the international summer school BUP Science and Sail 2025, which will take place on 17-24 August 2025 in Klaipėda (Lithuania) with a one-day excursion to Liepāja (Latvia).
Bachelor, Master and PhD students from universities in the BUP member countries are invited to participate.
The participants will work on researching the Baltic Sea environment both on land and on board the Brabander research sailing ship of Klaipeda University.
The programme includes field research, thematic lectures, group work on case studies, and an introduction to local challenges of sustainable coastal development.
Participation in the summer school is free of charge.
Participants cover only travel costs to and from the venue.
The organisers provide accommodation in shared rooms and full meals for participants in Klaipėda and Liepāja from 17 to 24 August.
Upon completion of the summer school, participants will receive a certificate.
