Dear colleagues,
The Baltic University Programme (BUP) is pleased to invite researchers from its partner universities to participate in the BUP Symposium 2025, which will take place on 26-28 November 2025 in Uppsala, Sweden. The symposium is dedicated to the theme ‘Strengthening the Security and Resilience of the Baltic Sea Region: Environmental, Political, Social and Economic Crises’.

– Climate Change in Times of Environmental and Geopolitical Instability
– Energy Security and Energy Transitions
– International Relations: Cooperation and Conflict
– Civil Society and Preparedness
– Resilient Food Systems and Water Security
Participation in the symposium is free of charge. Participants are responsible for covering their travel expenses to and from the venue, and accommodation. The organisers will provide meals (lunch, dinner, coffee breaks) during the event programme days. Participants from Ukraine who cannot travel will be able to join some parts of the symposium online.
The application deadline is 16 May 2025.
