The Hungarian Academy of Sciences invites talented postdoctoral researchers from around the world to participate in the flagship research program Momentum MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme (Momentum PPDF)!
This initiative aims to attract and support up to 35 outstanding young scientists who will have the opportunity to join the “Lendület” research groups in Hungary.
“Lendület” Momentum is a leading research program of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA), supporting independent research groups since 2009 and fostering innovation and scientific discoveries. The program has already contributed to the establishment of over 225 research groups across various scientific fields.

Programme duration: January 2025 – December 2029
Fellowship duration: Up to 36 months, including short-term secondments (1-3 months).
Who can apply?
- Postdoctoral researchers of any nationality and from all scientific disciplines supported by the program.
- Candidates must hold a PhD degree at the time of application or have successfully defended their dissertation without further conditions by the application deadline.
- Mobility rule: Candidates must not have resided or conducted their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Hungary for more than 12 months in the last three years before the application deadline.
- Researchers already employed at “Lendület” host organizations at the time of application are not eligible.
