Online session: Living and working in a diverse world. How intercultural differences affect our perception of everyday tasks and relations?

Dear students, teachers and administrative staff!
Within the project “Solidarity with Ukraine – 4EU+ for Ukraine II”, the University of Warsaw, with the support and funding of NAWA, invites the staff and students of our university to participate in an online session: Living and working in a diverse world. How do intercultural differences affect our perception of everyday tasks and relationships?
During the online session participants will have the opportunity to develop practical knowledge and skills in the field of intercultural communication. Together we will discover following topics:
- My identity in the context of my culture: how important is cultural background?
- The acculturation process: what we go through when we go abroad for a longer time. What are the symptoms of a culture shock?
- Time, Space, and other dimensions of everyday life in the context of intercultural communication.
- Stereotypes and unconscious bias in the context intercultural skills set. Tips and tools that facilitate communication with a diverse audience.
