Kseniia Smyrnova, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, took part in the EURAM 2022 Conference “Leading Digital Transformation” (Winterthur, Switzerland), where she gave a speech on the topic: “Global challenges on aftermath war in Ukraine for science diplomacy”.
Conference subject: The transition to information technology, along with big data, algorithms and intelligent analytics, and the impact on all sectors: private, public and non-profit.
The conference was opened by Jean-Marc Piveteau, Professor of the Zurich University of Applied Sciences;
Katrin M. Moeslein, FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg & HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management/President EURAM;
Carmen Volker Spech, Head of the Economic Department of the Canton of Zurich;
Ignazio Cassis, President of the Swiss Confederation.
The President the Swiss Confederation emphasized the scale and importance of the conference for the world community. Cassis noted that EURAM researches and implements new forms and methods of work that are relevant in the modern world.
The second day was no less fruitful, the issue of using Ukraine’s digital diplomacy in war conditions, countering fakes and the importance of social networks as a tool for spreading true information were discussed. It was mentioned that Ukraine is a model of active public diplomacy with the use of all necessary methods and tools.
