Dear Ph.D. students and researchers!
The EUniWell Science-to-Public Communication workshops aim to up-skill researchers in the popularisation of science. The workshops are open and free of charge to PhD students and researchers from all EUniWell member universities.
Aim of the programme
Engaging different audiences (general public, local communities, scientific community, professionals from various fields, and science journalists) can strengthen young researchers’ academic profiles.
The participants of the programme will be able to:
- Identify the most engaging part of their research
- Gain an awareness of audience types and their needs
- Learn how to develop messages for their research
- Write a captivating script for their speech to grab their audience’s interest, and make an impression
- Explain why and how they should engage the public with their research
- Network with other researchers and professionals from the EUniWell partner universities
How does it work?
The online workshops are designed as a mix of presentations and practical applications, in an interactive environment encouraging experience-sharing, discussions and concrete examples in which the participants will be able to practice their podcast/vlog-making or speech-writing skills.
