The delegation of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv took part in the “4EU+ for Ukraine Education Days” training sessions, which took place on June 20-21, 2023 in Warsaw on the basis of the University of Warsaw. Among the delegates were representatives of the Faculties of Geography, Economy, and History; Educational and Scientific Institutes of Philology, Law, International Relations, as well as the Department of Quality Assurance of Education.
The trainings were held with the support of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). Trainers and speakers were invited from higher education institutions that are part of the 4EU+ European University Alliance. In addition to representatives of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, professors and employees of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and Karazin Kharkiv National University participated in the trainings.
During the first day of the training, the participants got acquainted with the challenges that European universities have faced in recent years; with the strategies and tools that Alliance universities have created to integrate skills and competencies into everyday university life. Representatives of Ukrainian universities were introduced to various resources and initiatives for the development of digital skills of professors and students (online pedagogy and integration of technologies in the educational process).
The second day of the training was devoted to familiarization with the structure, management, implementation, accreditation and quality assurance of joint study programs.
The last part of the training covered issues of quality management, as well as the reflection of the training participants on the culture of quality assurance in their universities and the development of proposals for the possible achievement of a synergistic effect through the combination of the efforts of the university’s management and its scientific and pedagogical staff.
